Mission Statement

Dr. White's philosophy of medicine is characterized by empowerment, sensitivity and science. She states, "I see my role as an educator and advisor. The Latin root for the word doctor is 'docere' which means 'to teach'. Knowledge is power. An individual who is motivated to take charge of their health is in a win-win position because I am here to enable them to do the best thing for their health. I strongly believe in the team approach to healthcare and this approach has been shown to work the best in preserving health." She recognizes the powerful influence of the family and work situation on an individual's health and strives to be sensitive to everyone's needs. She emphasizes preventive health including healthy lifestyles, cancer screening tests and the patient's responsibility for their own health.
